You can do it anywhere and everywhere, though all you need is a chair for this incredible lesson.
Most of us think we know how to squeeze/contract our abdominals, though we only think about the "belly button" as pulling in. This misses a few sections and is not complete. I hear people say, chest up and shoulders back! This pinches the spine, which can create a pinched nerve! Yes, it's partially correct, though there is more to it and I am here to teach you how to do it = safely and correctly.
I would NOT be teaching this lesson, or handing you a card if you already knew it. This unique approach uses more of your body, which makes you stronger and more powerful, creating length and elongation in each muscle. Learn how to contract the muscles safely with "active" breathing. The lower back muscle needs to contract every time. Too bad this isn't taught in Physical Therapy, but it should be. In fact, I resigned from my Physical Therapy job of 18 years to teach Core, and I want to live my dream of teaching it to everyone in this world, beginning with YOU!

Consider this as whole body as you can get. The more muscles you use to move, (muscles contract vs. not contracting), is the key.
Learn to use/contract your whole stomach, (every part of your Rectus Abdominus), and not just a piece of it; add onto that and contract your butt and hips with or without a pelvic tilt, (learn your body type). In comes breathing to elongate and stretch! The upper back muscles usually stay with what the upper body is doing. Here's where you *bypass ~ not lifting the chest, ....AND ALLOW YOUR BODY TO STRETCH! Which can be done safely, with my lesson. Let me teach all you CPT's out there, how to properly/safely stretch your body and strengthen that length, so you can help those you train. I teach teachers how to have more power and pass it on.
