I teach Core in a way that's never been taught before. Learn how to strengthen your whole back & not just your front abdominals.
Most of us think we know how to squeeze/contract our abdominals, though we only think about the "belly button" as pulling in. This misses the whole bottom part of the stomach, "making" the stomach lazy. I hear people say, chest up and shoulders back! This pinches the spine, which can create a pinched nerve!
I would NOT be teaching this lesson, or handing you a card if you already knew it. This unique approach uses more of your body, which makes you stronger and more powerful, creating length and elongation in each muscle. Learn how to contract the muscles safely with "active" breathing. The lower back muscle needs to contract every time. Too bad this isn't taught in Physical Therapy, but it should be. In fact, I resigned from my Physical Therapy job of 18 years to teach Core, and I want to live my dream of teaching it to everyone in this world, beginning with YOU!

With each breath, you can strengthen your Core, and I'm here to teach you how to use every muscle in it. There is a difference between moving the body with certain muscles being contracted, which is powerful; versus moving the body without contracting those muscles or "lazy".

The Famous DipSea Stairs are located in the beautiful Muir Woods of Mill Valley, CA! I had the opportunity to do these stairs, going UP and down all 600+ of them.🤩 I LOVE STAIRS! Whether you exercise to be fit, lose weight or because you love it, maximize your calorie burn and learn to stretch your body long and strengthen it strong. Get the most out of your time and energy. Consider this as whole body as you can get. The more muscles you use to move, (muscles contract vs. not contracting), is the key. Learn to use/contract your whole stomach, every part of your Rectus Abdominus, and not just a piece of it; add onto that and contract your butt and hips with out a pelvic tilt! In comes breathing to elongate and stretch! The upper back muscles usually stay with what the upper body is doing, here's where you *bypass ~ not lifting the chest, ....AND LIFT THE CHEST! Sorry NASM, let me teach all you CPT's out there, how to properly/safely stretch your body and strengthen that length, so you can help those you train. I teach teachers how to have more power and pass it on.
